Hey, hey!!

Well, seems like all I blog about lately is 2 Sketches 4 You!! haha. Love those sketches. Here's this weeks interpretation of Kazan's sketch. I used a mish mash of stuff; some Scenic Route, some Daisy D's, some Basic Grey and various flowers and ribbon. I am not sure if the scallops are working here or not, I really liked the direction it was heading in until I added them, now I am unsure.

I got some awesome news on Friday...I've got a job, hurrah!! It is a one year term position at a nearby hospital. I am so excited, my hard work in school this past year has paid off!!

2S4U

Here's this week's card for 2 Sketches 4 You. This week Laura came up with an awesome sketch. When I first saw it I thought it might be a bit of a challenge, but I received a store bought graduation card in the mail from my sister-in-law and the minute I saw it, I was inspired to make this card. I used the same verse that was on the store bought card and new I needed a card with a grad cap on it. So here it is!! I love the black and white polka dot theme!! The 'm' is the graduate's initial.

Note: Just wanted to shout out for Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival. My card is featured for July. If you'd like to have your blog featured, just send Jacqueline an email. I am sure she'd love to hear from you. Lots of talent in this great country of ours, lets show it off!!!

CPS #69 and a Challenge

I just finished a card for the CPS #69 sketch, easy sketch to work with. The colors are a bit brighter in real life, a little washed out in this photo.
This next card is for a card challenge on another site. I have to send this out to someone this week, ssshhh. I love the black and white combo, it makes such great cards.

Happy Friday...

Well, I finally graduated from a fantastic year of school this week. My graduation was on Tuesday and I am proud to say that I graduated with honours. I am so glad I went back to school, even if I don't get my dream job, I had a terrific year and met lots of great people and wouldn't trade the experience for the world.

I have a little card to share today. This is for the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. Check it out if you haven't already, these girls come up with fantastic sketches. I am hooked. I used up some old MM and Doodlebug papers and some felt flowers. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. Now I just need a baby boy to give it to. That could be the tricky part!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Sunshine galore!!

New Sketch Site

During my early morning blog surfing I discovered this fantastic new sketch blog. It is
2 Sketches 4 You. Don't walk, RUN to check out this great blog. They just started on Sunday and if the first 2 sketches are any indication, it's going to be a great site for inspiration. I know I LOVE sketches!! I am going to play with them today. My kids just got on the bus and my honey is working and I am home alone all day, Yayyyyyy. I'll post my creations later, gotta go play!!!

I just wish I could make their blinkie work on my blog! Can someone help me out?

Shabby Chic

Here's a card I made for a Shabby Chic challenge a week or so ago over at Lil Scrappers. I like how it turned out, I love the Shabby Chic look. I used some Melissa Frances papers and a MM frame I've had hangin' around.

Hope you are all having a great weekend.
