Good Monday Mornin'

Welcome to another week. Had a very short and quick weekend. Celebrated my mother's 79th birthday yesterday with all the family. She was quite surprised when we all showed up at her house, it was so funny.

I love CPS blog, I find so much inspiration there, especially when I am in a funk!! I love this week's sketch, very retro looking. Here's my take on it. Hope you like it. Used up BG Fruitcake and Crate rubons and May Arts ric rac.

TGIF!!

Unfortunately, I've got to work all weekend and it's supposed to rain all weekend. Here's a card for a friend who just had a baby girl, used the CPS #10 sketch for it. I bought some MM Fresh Anthology papers and am using them very sparingly, they are so pretty and I can't get more. I love the Crafty Secrets vintage images too and love the look with the fresh papers. I like the contrast they make. Congrats Carla on your new little Bundle of Joy and hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sketch This #9

Oh I am such a bad blogger!!! I just can't seem to keep up with these things, plus I haven't been very creative the past couple of weeks. I've been working on magazine submissions and I don't think everyone wants to see Christmas cards in April. I tell ya, it's hard making Christmas cards in April!! Here is my card for this weeks Sketch This #9 challenge. I loved working with this sketch and these yummy Melissa Frances papers made is just so easy!! Hope you like it! On another note, I do hope we start warming up a little bit around here. It is the middle of April and we are having such COLD rain and winds, it makes it very hard to go outside!! I am longing for summer but I know then I'll be complaining of the heat!! I just can't win, can I!!! Hope you all are having a great week.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

I just got word that this one is wanted for PaperCrafts, Nov. issue so I gotta take it out for now!! Thanks for all the nice comments.

Well, I think I miss winter, hahaha, right!! Goofing around and this is what happened. Used BG Fruitcake and K & Co. rub ons. Painted my chipboard snowflake and sprinkled with glitter, so sparkly!! You'd think I'd be thinkin' Easter instead of Christmas but I don't get into Easter cards very much!! Hope your having a great day!!

Happy Monday

It is Monday and I am on the home stretch!! Mark will be home on Thursday and he'll be done his course!! We had a great day yesterday, we took the kids to our local amateur theater to see The Three Bully Goats Griff, a great little play about bullying and respect for others. I do hope my kids took something away from it and then we went to one of our favorite restaurants for supper.

I've been working on this card this morning, it's the CPS #8. I love that site, so much inspiration for an uninspired me!!! I love these old Rob & Bob papers and these great little felt flowers are from the $$ Store. Thanks for looking at my work!!

Can I add a picture???

Let's try posting a card now!! Here's a real quick one I made the other day, love this color combo and I love the effect of acrylic paint on stamps and then sprinkle a little glitter while the paint is still wet!! Stamps are Rhonna Farrar Swirls, Vol. 2.!!

A Brand New World

So, I've decided to step into the blog world. Hope you will find an interesting little tidbit here and there!! This is a big step for me as I am not real savvy when it comes to technical issues like this. We'll see if I can figure out how to post a pic or two!! It is Sunday night and Mark has just left for his last week away on course so I am playing around a bit here!! Hope you're all having a great Sunday evening.
